This is my daughter, a Gold Award earner,
in her grandmother's Intermediate uniform.
A lot of people ask me my currant Scouting position...you're looking at it! I maintain this site, try and provide information, answers, and links to other Scout site. Occasionally, troops visit me, or I take some of my collection out to Scouting events to display. During February of 2006 and 2007, the bulk of my international items were on display at FHQ.
For 1 1/2 years, I lived in Savannah, volunteering at Girl Scout First Headquarters in the council archives and museum.
I also do some fundraising through my autographs. The fee I charge goes directly to the local area. While in Savannah, I have raised approx. $500+ signing posters at FHQ (when I sign them at home in FL, it goes to my local SU, about $350 so far...).
While there, I also worked on a series of 26 watercolors of gates in the historic section of Savannah. These paintings have 'morphed' into a pocket tour book published by The History Press. It is available around the city or online through Amazon.com.

Her skirt and pin are vintage Girl Scout items, the rest is not. Eventually, I hope to make or have made a replica uniform.

The Girl Scout® poster was official from 200-2004, but has been discontinued. Only 5000 of them were printed, and 400 were damaged during the hurricanes of 2004 (water got in my studio). A great collectible! There are now cards of Girl Scout Landmarks available. These are in a 5x7 inch size suitable for matting and framing as well as sending. Girl Scout Landmark cards

I have also done a "Scouting Memories" a Boy Scout poster. IT'S NOW AVAILABLE! It is NOT official. I would like to acknowledge the extensive research found in the wonderful dating guide for Girl Scout collectors of uniforms from our first 75 years. Much of the info you find on this site is from the book "Girl Scout Collector's Guide"; as well as contributions from past catalogs, other collectors and former & present Girl Scouts themselves who've contributed memories.
